David Kam graduated from Trinity Laban as a member of Transitions Dance Company 2015, upon completing a degree in architecture. The Malaysian artist has since worked with TEDx, United Visual Artists, Natalie Su Company, Dancers of London, Lyrix Organix, Tony Thatcher, Dr. Valerie Preston-Dunlop and most recently collaborating with artist Jennifer Tee. Through a choreological and architectural lens, David sees his practice a way of placemaking and has particular interests in process driven cross art-form collaborations and site-specific work.

David shares his dance and yoga pedagogy extensively across top wellness studios and dance institutions both within London and beyond, including the Place, Trinity Laban, DPAC (Malaysia) and most recently in the University of Auckland as part of Tertiary Dance Festival, New Zealand. He ultimately perceives his artistic responsibility as being a facilitator of change, his work being the impetus for such provocation.

David joined insightDproject in December 2017.
